               INTERNATIONAL KITE FESTIVAL 7/11/2013

 International Kite Festival - mid-November, a famous three-day festival which attracts some of the best 'kiters' from all over Europe. The kite festival is based around the sands of the Playa del Burro beach, to the south of Fuerteventura's resort of Corralejo, on the island's northern coast. Around 250 kites are on display during the event, with many impressive flying demonstrations.




                                 VELA LATINA

Este sábado se disputa la semifinal del Torneo Eliminatorio La Caja de Canarias de Vela Latina
Un total de cinco botes son los que participarán este sábado (17:00 horas) en la semifinal del Torneo Eliminatorio La Caja de Canarias de Vela Latina. La emoción está en todo lo alto dada la alta competitividad de los participantes y la ambición por estar en la gran final.

El encargado de abrir la jornada será el Estibadores Portuarios, que partirá en la cabeza de la flota. En esta fase, sólo los tres mejores botes clasificados ocuparán las plazas para la disputa por el título. De esta forma, el orden de salida será: Estibadores Portuarios, Puerto de La Luz-La Caixa, Villa de Agüimes, Hospital La Paloma-Pueblo Guanche y Disa Roque Nublo-ULPGC




WINDSURF&KITESURF WORLD CUP 2013
                                   

Álex Pastor y Gisela Pulido pegan primero en el kiteboarding Freestyle del Fuerteventura World Cup 2013. Los dos competidores españoles lograron el triunfo en la primera eliminatoria simple, superando en las finales a Liam Whaley y Anabel Van Westerop, respectivamente. Pastor hizo valer su condición de número uno del mundo y da el primer paso hacia el triunfo en aguas majoreras. Gisela Pulido, por su parte, beneficiada por la lesión de su principal rival, Karolina Winkowska, no tuvo problemas para vencer.

For the last 28 years the world’s best board sportsmen have battled annually for the World Championship off the coast of the wind consistent and sun-kissed Canary Island. From 20.07 – 03.08.2013 the world’s windsurfer and kiteboarder elite will compete in the World Championship heats in altogether three disciplines.
